It’s 4 a.m. and your alarm goes off. You hit snooze. Five minutes later, it goes off again. You slap it off, roll over and say, “Today is not going to be a good day.” Do you realize what you just did?
In a sleep-walking state of mind, as you continue to mumble how you don’t want to go to work, you stub your toe against the wall on your way to the bathroom. Do you realize what happened?
You get to work and find out a couple of your coworkers called in sick leaving you to a insurmountable stack of work. Is it making sense now?
When you woke up, the few, but crucial, words you spoke became your reality. I’m sure when you said today wasn’t going to be a good day, it didn’t dawn on you that you were basically saying “I want today to be a bad day for me.”
Who wants that??
So often, subconsciously, we speak the things that we truly do NOT want into existence.
I don’t want this to happen. I don’t want us to break up. I don’t want to be laid off. I don’t want to lose my house. I don’t want the bill collectors calling me. I doubt I’ll get approved for the loan. I don’t want to be broke. I don’t… I can’t… I doubt…
If we focus on the things that we don’t want, those are the things that we get. Think about it. What have you constantly said you didn’t want and ended up getting? Are you subconsciously welcoming negative things into your life?
Are you subconsciously inviting negative things into someone else’s life? Have you said “I hope ____ doesn’t get the promotion”? Or have you wished that your ex’s new relationship doesn’t work out and when you find out that it didn’t, you feel you’re to blame?
We really need to be cognizant of what we invite into our lives as well as others. Instead of focusing on what you don’t want to happen, put your thoughts on those things that you do want to see come to fruition. Watch how things turn around.
I dare you to think and speak positive today.
Blessings & Prosperity!
